Pantech Receives iF Design Award for Design Excellence & Innovation |

Seoul, March 10, 2005 - Pantech and its affiliates, Pantech & Curitel Inc. and Pantech Co., Ltd. (“Pantech” hereafter), one of the world’s leading mobile communications groups, today announced that it has received the prestigious iF Design award for its excellence and innovation in the design of cellular phones.
Pantech received the award in recognition of two of its most notable models, the PH-L4000V and PH-S4000. Both models have been well received by customers in Europe, as well as in other parts of the world, for their unique looks and distinct expedience.

The PH-L4000V is just like a small digital camcorder, in design appearance and functionality. Users can take a picture from every type of angle and rotate the folder freely, which works like a zoom lens on a camcorder.
The PH-S4000 is a pendant-like MP3P mobile phone. It is equipped with a 2.1MP camera, optical zoom and auto focus. There is a highly sensitive microphone that enhances the quality of the voice recording function for the camcorder. In addition, the exterior surface is covered with smooth titanium, which gives a solid, metallic look.
First launched in the Korean market in December 2004, the PH-S4000 is suitable for consumers who believe that music and multipurpose communication are an integral part of life. Shortly after its launch, Korean sales reached 35,000 units in one month. The PH-S4000 is expected to be the bestselling phone for Pantech worldwide in the spring of 2005.
In Korea, Pantech has been distinguished with the reputable Korean Industrial Design Award for its 3D game phone, the PH-S3500. It has also received the Good Design Award for its 3.1Mpix camera phone range, the PH-K1000V and PH-S5000 models.
